 Position: AS400 with SQL/Cobol - environment

Location: Morristown, NJ
Duration: 5 months

Must have:

SQL Programming - Advanced
AS/400 Environment - Advanced
COBOL Programming - Advanced

Nice to have:

MQ - Intermediate
C++ - Intermediate

Explanation for Position:

The position is necessary for the support and development of the UPS Data Capture and International Distributed Operation Reporting System (IDORS) as a temporary replacement while [consultant] is out on disability.

Details of Position:

Sr. Programmer Analyst position has the responsibility of performing full lifecycle development on maintenance changes and functionality enhancements to the UPS Data Capture and International Distributed Operation Reporting System (IDORS) applications on AS/400.

Perform production support and off hour beeper coverage for these applications

Management Skills:

Minimum 5 years of experience working on the AS/400 using; SQL, COBOL, Command Language (CL), Data Description Specification (DDS), OS400 APIs, Client Server Based Application, DRDA, Open Query File, subfile programming.

Knowledge of C, C++ and MQ Series is a must;

WebSphere Developer Studio (WDSC) knowledge is a plus.

§ Experience with full development lifecycle.

§ Position requires excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Position also requires analytical abilities, planning, organizing, decision-making, problem solving, and analysis and judgment skills.
