*Skill Set :     

Skill Requirements: Minimum of 6 years IT experience. *4+ years experience with Symantec (Veritas) NetBackup software solutions in a large, complex environment Specific experience with multi-platform backup (HP-UX, AIX, Linux, Windows, vmware, etc.), disk storage units, vaulting, database integration, etc. *2+ years experience with SUN/STK tape libraries and associated tape drive technologies Specific experience with SL8500, ACSLS and LTO tape technologies *Proven ability to implement disaster recovery procedures and execute disaster recovery techniques *Working knowledge and preferably hands-on experience with HP Data Protector *Working knowledge and preferably hands-on experience with HP/UX, AIX, Windows, Linux, etc.

*Functional knowledge of storage area networking *Proven ability to lead projects effectively
Backup & Recovery tools certification is a plus
Working knowledge of database solutions and high availability solutions. *A proven track record to come up to speed quickly on new technologies and solutions.
A strong desire to drive the availability of the infrastructure systems, and an ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment across multiple geographic locations. *Proven ability to work as part of a team, collaborating and partnering together to provide the best customer experience and support *Willingness to manage a 24x7x365 storage and backup environment including on-call rotation, weekend work, etc. MUST have EXCELLENT communications.

Job Description: Provide backup and recovery technical solutions and support for a large, complex backup and recovery environment. The ideal candidate will possess a very strong working knowledge of Symantec (Veritas) NetBackup, SUN/STK Tape Libraries and Storage Area Networking switching technologies for a tape infrastructure. Provide daily design, administration, support and maintenance to the backup and recovery environment including but not limited to the following: - Design and implementation of backup and recovery solutions across a variety of
platforms (HP-UX, AIX, Windows, VMWare, etc.) - Design and implementation of backup and recovery solutions across a variety of database and application environments (SAP, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Teradata, etc.) - Specialized backup and recovery integration with EMC Cellera (NDMP) and EMC Timefinder - Administration and configuration of Symantec (Veritas) backup and
recovery hardware and software - Backup and recovery performance tuning, capacity planning and forecasting - Maintain and support of the backup and recovery environment by
coordinating support activities including reactive and proactive maintenance - Developing disaster recover procedures, documentation and participation in disaster recovery exercises - Respond to and resolve escalated customer issues.

Education :   Preferred Skills: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
