Position Description
Our client is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our System Development team. As a member of this team, you will be helping to create the next iteration of gaming systems and products to support the gaming industry.
You must be passionate about building and designing scalable, high performance software systems that meet tangible business goals. You must be experienced in the full development lifecycle of service oriented architecture (SOA). The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver who enjoys responding to challenging issues and is interested in continuously learning about new products, technologies and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide software that meets the needs of external customers.
- This position is 95% new development.
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to provide the best possible product and follow through on issues escalated to the development team.
- Improve product documentation, sample code, and validation suites.
- Be responsive to the expectations of sales, test engineers and customers.
Required Skills
10+ years total development experience; well versed in object oriented programming with experience developing in C++ (5 years min), C# (2 years min) and the .NET 2.0 framework. (2 years min)
- Working knowledge of Internet technologies, communication protocols, and techniques.
- Working experience with socket programming and Multi-Threading
- Working experience with a variety of Windows platforms.
- Working experience with MS SQL Server and a thorough knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of T-SQL, debugging techniques, and performance tuning.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Solid problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail
Passion for working on challenging products in order to provide a superior customer experience.
Self-motivated; works with minimal supervision.
