The platform team develops and maintains the software that manages our media, work flow and all the interfaces to both external and internal
customers and partners. The ideal candidate has strong experience with web services, design patterns, J2EE and SOA development, developed innovative web-based user experiences, is passionate about details and understands the scalability and performance of the solutions they develop.

Role: Java Engineer (with web services)
Location: San Carlos, CA
Position Type: 6 Months contract
Rate : DoE

Required Skills

- Solid understanding of object oriented programming working in a multi-tier environment
- Excellent understanding of the trade-offs between algorithmic complexity and storage
- Experience creating and maintaining robust, high-performance web applications in a fast-paced environment
- Able to effectively work in a team and individually - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with SQL and writing stored procedures
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, and XSD
- Proficient with the design and development of web services
- Experience with Flash or Air a plus

4-year B.S. degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering or mathematics, plus three years of related professional experience.
