PeopleSoft Sr. Application Analyst
Client: City of Minneapolis
Downtown Minneapolis, MN

The City of Minneapolis seeks a Senior Application Analyst to perform software development, maintenance, support, testing and documentation of our PeopleSoft Financials and HCM system.

Skills:  Strong development skills involving all aspects of PeopleSoft Financials version 9.0 package suite with eProcurement, EPM data warehouse, scoreboard, etc.  Strong development skills involving all aspects of PeopleSoft HCM with V8.4x or 9.x experience.  Proficiency with PeopleTools v8.48 or newer and PeopleCode.

Abilities: Must be able to assist City staff in development activities including developing new and reapplying existing software modifications.
Must be able to support the application including subsequent modifications and document changes.  
Must be able to assist City staff in evaluating functionality to determine on-going and future direction.  
Must be able to cross-train City staff to support the PeopleSoft applications and subsequent modifications.

Deliverables:
Perform software development, maintenance, support, testing, documentation and cross-training of City staff on PeopleSoft Financials v 9.0 and PeopleSoft HCM v8.9/ELM v9.0.  This includes:

• Monitoring the performance of the applications
• Serving as a key representative when dealing with customer departments/end users
• Developing modifications when necessary
• Troubleshoot errors
• Resolve crisis situations
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule
• Respond to emergency issues after hours via cell phone or pager and on-site as necessary

Experience requirements:
Significant (preferably five years or more) development experience working on PeopleSoft applications, upgrades, and interfaces.  Previous experience in the public sector is desirable.  Demonstrated experience in technical analysis and development experience using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, COBOL, SQR and SQL in a PeopleTools 8.4x environment is also required.  Experience with Integration Broker and Application Messaging is desired.  Must be available to work on-site.

Demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
• Develop computer programs or databases using computer based languages, as appropriate; perform other programming functions and modifications as assigned.
•  Keep abreast of technology advancements; develop and present training to staff on relevant technology related information, new equipment, program upgrades, and other upcoming changes.
• Answer questions, respond to end-user requests in a timely manner; and provide information, assistance and training to personnel and departments on technology-related issues.
• Deliver projects and other ad-hoc tasks to agreed timescales and to specification and provide quality documentation and appropriate management information

Educational/training and certification requirements:  A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or an equivalent specialized training in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience in implementing/upgrading PeopleSoft Systems
