Direct Client: SHAREPOINT ARCHTECT NEED

LOCATION: Westborough, Massachusetts

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 4 weeks to start with strong likelihood of follow on work at this client or we may be able roll onto another project we have in the pipeline

INTERVIEW PROCESS: a minimum of 1 phone technical phone screen and a face to face or Web Cam with the Practice Director.

We need someone with MOSS architecture, governance and planning experience. 

In particular, we need the following:

Designed and installed medium to large scale farm

Written custom events and/or webparts

Configured enterprise search

Worked with MOSS ECM features (knows about limitations and how to store 100k's documents)

Integrated with external content sources / federated search (nice to have)

Worked with IBMs ECM toolkit (nice to have)

Worked with Plumtree (BEA/Oracle) (nice to have)

*** Must have superior customer facing communication skills – the person will be working with multiple business owners

General Experience:

• Knowledge and understanding of software architecture principles as applies to enterprise, solutions and application architectures
• Understanding of SOA, SaaS, Business Intelligence, Information management, knowledge management,  Integration, Data Management, Portals, RIA etc
• Solid knowledge and experience on Microsoft technology landscape including various server products such as MOSS.
• Microsoft platform and technologies based  Projects - 6+ years
• Overall software development experience - 9+ years
• Prior consulting / contracting experience preferred
• Excellent oral and written skills, teamwork attitude and ability to learn quickly

Specific Experience:

• Provide detailed architecture analysis and design, and direction on the development activities
• Provide leadership in gaining insight on functional and non-functional requirements related to technical delivery of the project.
• Lead the effort to validate all architecture anomalies to conclusion.
• Assist in creation of prototypes, POCs, presentations, collateral etc
• Acting as an SME and a technology consultant, offer educated solution recommendations to customers for given problem definitions. Where applicable, assist in fine-tuning the problem/solution space
• Provide documentation on all architecture decisions and best practice approaches to implementing the architecture design based on communication with project teams.
• Design and development of enterprise applications on Microsoft platform
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) product and Windows SharePoint Services technology platform. Good understanding of Microsoft Information Worker infrastructure and architecture.  Understanding of related products such as Project server, Forms server, InfoPath etc would be plus.
• Active experience with customizing intranet and internet sites on MOSS and understanding of underlying technologies such as CAML
• Proficient with tools such as SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, VSS, VSTS etc
• Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components. 
• Experience with MOSS Central Administration, MySite, Lists, Content types, workflows etc
• Working understanding of MOSS web services, BDC, Excel services etc desired.
• Solid understanding of .Net framework, ASP.NET, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows communication foundation, ASP.NET Ajax framework

Responsibilities

• As an architect, create the architectural deliverables for the project. Recommend best-in-class solution architecture identifying functional as well non-functional parameters
• Act as a senior technical resource at client locations and guide the project  teams as well as customer on important technological decisions
• As a technical leader, ensure smooth and top-quality delivery of project in collaboration with project manager and the project team
• Participate in design, code, test reviews cycles.
• Take individual responsibility in self-growth to server clients in a better fashion

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) which should help you to put forth your view in crisp and concise manner
• Professional and consultative mindset with commitment for excellent customer service
• Ability to patiently explain the technology and products to customers in layman’s terms
